Hull and Deck

JENA has received a complete refit of the hull and deck that
includes replacing the core of the deck as well as the top laminate.
Both the core and top laminate were saturated in epoxy resin, as
opposed to polyester resin, giving the laminate much greater
strength and better water resistance.
The bow sprit has also been treated with epoxy and then sprayed
with a clearcoat to dramatically reduce maintenance yet maximise the
beauty of the on deck woodwork.
The opening ports have been repainted with a highly resistant
paint, the glass was replaced as well as the seals.

Mechanics

JENA has  the more powerful 50HP Perkins 4-108 engine installed
to drive her forward when the wind and seas are against her, as
opposed to the under powered 33HP engine that is found on many of
the other Tayana 37s. The engine had a rebuild in about 1996. About
2500 hours have been placed on the engine after the rebuild.

Jena has had more than 4000 working hours spent on her in a very extensive refit
during the last ten years. Jena is an EU boat, meaning that she doesnt
need CE-cerification. I am aware that there are cheaper sisterships in the USA.
But with the present EU regulations (RCD) it would be extremely costly and
complicated to import these to Europe.

She is now for sale in Sweden (Gothenburg) at a price of € 69.500 EU VAT inclusive.

Part exchange for a smaller sailboat is possible.
